The Sofinol Factory

SOFINOL is a joint-venture (80% Nestlé) manufacturing Speciality Oils, commercialised exclusively by Nestrade. The oils produced by SOFINOL are primarily used by affiliated Nestlé companies, but also sold to third parties.

SOFINOL, with its 12 experienced staff members, is refining oils obtained by pressure or extraction. Refining is done on two lines with batch sizes of 1 ton and 2.5 tons. The equipment is very versatile to follow varying customer demands and to provide products meeting highest quality standards.

SOFINOL has now more than 15 years of experience and accumulated know-how in the production of Speciality Oils and more particularly in oils rich in long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LC-PUFAs).

SOFINOL operates under the close supervision of Nestrade, which is assuring that production and management are following Nestlé standards. SOFINOL is ISO 9001 and NQS (Nestlé Quality System) 1st priority level certified.
